Stephen James, an international model with a passion for tattoos, fashion and haircare, decided to open in Barcelona a tattoo and barbershop, the biggest one in the country. He approached us with the need of a brand and we worked closely with him to create it.

In LKC we undersood that the purpose was not to create a personal brand, but a personality brand. A brand that would remain faithful to Stephen's personality in all its iterations, on all the fields that it operates, anticipating a future where the brand could expand on new fields. With that in mind we pursued a clean and strong mark, with a timeless vocation to survive over time. 

Based around Monotype Grotesk with a series of adjustments on details and spacing, we created a clean wordmark, without distracting ornaments, that aims to coexist in the context of the top international modern fashion brands.

A proposal for a monogram was developed as an extra ressource to use on specific applications as a symbol to use where the complete wordmark would not work.
